The SEAT Ibiza RX DLC for DiRT Rally 2.0 was developed by Codemasters and released on January 13, 2020. At the time, Codemasters also served as the publisher, with Electronic Arts later assuming publishing responsibilities following their acquisition of the studio. This DLC introduced the rallycross-spec SEAT Ibiza RX to the game’s FIA World Rallycross Championship lineup. Built by Münnich Motorsport, the car was designed to compete in the World RX series and brought a fresh manufacturer presence to the rallycross grid within DiRT Rally 2.0.

The SEAT Ibiza RX features a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine delivering approximately 600 horsepower, paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox and all-wheel drive. Its aggressive bodywork, wide stance, and aerodynamic enhancements make it a formidable contender on mixed-surface rallycross circuits. The car is engineered for rapid acceleration, tight cornering, and high-speed stability, making it well-suited for the short-format, high-intensity nature of rallycross events. Players can use the Ibiza RX in My Team, Custom Championships, Time Trial, and FIA World Rallycross Championship modes.

Promotion for the SEAT Ibiza RX DLC was part of Codemasters’ Season Four content rollout for DiRT Rally 2.0. The studio announced its release through Steam updates, social media posts, and developer blogs, often accompanied by gameplay footage and screenshots showcasing the car’s performance and visual design. Codemasters highlighted the vehicle’s entry into the World RX series and its association with Münnich Motorsport, appealing to fans of modern rallycross and those looking for variety in manufacturer representation.

Reception to the DLC was generally positive, with players praising the SEAT Ibiza RX for its responsive handling, detailed modeling, and competitive performance. The car was noted for its balance between power and control, offering a slightly different driving feel compared to other rallycross supercars. While it didn’t introduce new gameplay mechanics, its real-world relevance and distinctive design added depth to DiRT Rally 2.0’s vehicle lineup. The DLC further enhanced the game’s reputation as a comprehensive and immersive rally and rallycross simulation.
