Description

This morning you are in charge of an early morning departure out of Penzance. Using a Great Western Railway HST set, you will first take the train from Long Rock depot to Penzance before driving the service as far as Plymouth.

Briefing

43143 has failed in Penzance station prior to departure on 1A77 and you are now in charge of a replacement HST set. First drive into Penzance station before releasing the doors to allow passengers to board. You will then drive the late running 1A77 service calling at Camborne, Redruth, Truro, St Austell, Par, Lostwithiel, Bodmin Parkway, Liskeard, St Germans, Saltash and finally Plymouth where your scheduled arrival time is 07:41.

Notes

The Cornish Main Line by it's very nature is a fairly quiet route and you should therefore not expect to see busy traffic. This and other scenarios I have created for this route are merely a way of driving different traction on real timetabled services and in this case provides a great opportunity to drive this early morning service and view the sunrise over Cornwall.
