BRIO World - Railway: Premium Trains

BRIO World - Railway: Premium Trains is a downloadable content pack developed by the Swedish studio Filimundus and released in November 2025. It is an add-on for the base game BRIO World - Railway, which was also developed and published by Filimundus. While the original game had earlier mobile releases, this DLC is specifically designed for the PC version on Steam.

Filimundus serves as both developer and publisher for the Premium Trains DLC. The expansion is not a standalone release and requires the base game to play. There is no indication that it has been ported to consoles, meaning it is primarily available for PC players.

The DLC adds thirteen new trains, including “Mighty Action” trains, a “Turbo” train and wagon, safari-themed trains with animal wagons, a steaming train, and smaller “cute tiny” engines. It also introduces nine new wagons and four new cargo types, including gas, engine parts, and rock. These additions are designed to expand the sandbox railway construction and creative play experience of the base game.

Promotion for the Premium Trains DLC was primarily through its Steam release, highlighting the new trains and cargo options. At launch, there were no user reviews posted for the DLC, indicating that while it extends the family-friendly and creative aspects of the base game, there is not yet sufficient information to assess its reception or popularity.
