Cities Skylines 2: Bridges & Ports

The Bridges & Ports expansion was developed by Colossal Order Ltd. and published by Paradox Interactive. It is an add-on for the game, which originally released in October 2023 for Windows. The expansion builds exclusively on the PC version of the base game, and its scheduled release date is 29 October 2025.

In terms of content, the DLC adds a substantial set of new infrastructure and waterfront development tools. Players will gain access to 20 new bridge types including drawbridges and lift-bridges, full port and harbor systems with customizable layout and scaling, new ferry transport options, and enhanced maritime industries such as fishing and offshore oil platforms. It also includes parks, piers, quays and lighthouses that help bring the city’s shoreline and waterfront into play more deeply.

Promotion for Bridges & Ports drew attention to both its delayed launch and the breadth of the new features. The developers issued updates explaining that the expansion had been pushed back to ensure adequate polish and depth. Marketing materials showcased the new bridge mechanics in action, port construction and marine traffic, and emphasised how the DLC would allow players to link their cities across water and build complex coastal economies. It also used trailers and blog posts to highlight the strategic value of waterfront development and transportation integration.

Reception has been cautiously optimistic. Many players welcome the long-awaited release of the expansion and appreciate the ambition of the new systems.
