Cowboy Life Simulator was developed by Odd Qubit and published by RockGame S.A. It was released on 26 November 2025, entering its Early Access phase that day. The version available at launch is for Windows PC. There are no confirmed console or mobile ports as of now — the game’s store information lists only Windows support.

The premise of Cowboy Life Simulator puts you in the role of a failed businessman seeking a fresh start in the Wild West. You arrive in the frontier town of Bravestand and set out to build your own ranch: starting from the purchase of a goat and some grain, you gradually expand your holdings. The game offers open‑world exploration, ranch building, farming, animal care, and resource gathering. You can plant and harvest over 20 different crops, raise animals, craft essential items, and build utility buildings, home structures, and decorative elements.

Beyond ranch and farm management, the game offers story content and community interaction. As you settle into the Western setting, you meet locals, take on quests tied to the town and its history, and uncover secrets scattered across the map. There is a progression system combining “Farm, Fame, Frontier” — reflecting advances in your ranching, reputation, and exploration. The world features various locations and biomes, and promises a mix of peaceful ranch life with occasional forays into adventure: crafting, exploration (even mines and unknown corners), light survival mechanics, and combat against wild animals or hostile gangs.

Promotion of the game before release emphasised its “living the Wild West rancher’s life” appeal. The developers invited players to follow the project on social media and join their community on Discord, gathering interest among fans of life sims and Western settings. A trailer was shared ahead of release, and community outreach — including play‑test invitations and requests for feedback — helped build grassroots support. The Early Access framing came with a commitment to shape the final game based on player feedback, with planned expansions such as new biomes, expanded NPC interaction, and additional gameplay systems like fishing, cattle drives, and ranch helpers.

Initial reception has been cautiously positive. Within days of release, it had collected several dozen user reviews — most of them favourable, with many players praising the game’s atmosphere, sense of freedom, and the variety of ranching and life‑sim mechanics. Some highlighted the appeal of building a homestead in a frontier world and managing a ranch from scratch. As with many Early Access titles, there are criticisms around polish and feature completeness: players who enjoy a refined, content-rich experience note that some systems remain basic and want more depth. The overall mood among the existing community is optimistic — many seem willing to stay on board to see how the game grows through updates and community-driven development.
