IT Specialist Simulator was developed by Pixel Team RED and published jointly by Pixel Team RED and FreeMind S.A. It launched into Early Access on 20 November 2025, marking an ambitious foray into a niche but increasingly popular simulation subgenre.

At the moment, the game is available for Windows via Steam. Before the full Early Access release, the developers offered a free demo on 5 June 2025, enabling players to sample key mechanics and get a feel for the simulated IT work life. No confirmed console or mobile ports have been announced.

In the game, players step into the shoes of an IT professional tasked with diagnosing network issues, repairing devices, and managing IT infrastructure under strict service‑level agreements. As you progress, you get to choose a career path — for example, HelpDesk, Network Administrator, or IT Project Manager — and build up realistic skills and knowledge. The simulation involves running real software, dealing with system crashes, configuring networks, handling printers, and even digging into BIOS settings or cleaning up malware.

The developers have emphasized community involvement heavily in their approach. By engaging with players on platforms like Discord, Instagram, and Steam, they aim to develop features in response to feedback. The Early Access roadmap spells out plans for more roles such as Cybersecurity Specialist and Network Administrator, based on player suggestions. The demo and early promotional material highlight that sense of co‑development and invite the audience to help shape the game.

Reception so far has been mixed but encouraging. In its early days on Steam, it has received praise for its unique concept and realistic take on IT work, with players noting how much “real tech knowledge” is packed into the gameplay. Some critics and users have pointed out that the current feature set is limited but express optimism about future updates, especially given the developers’ commitment to expanding the experience through Early Access.
