The Wetlands DLC for Jurassic World Evolution 3 was developed and published by Frontier Developments and released on 9 December 2025. It is an official expansion for the base game and is available on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S as part of the game’s ongoing content updates. The DLC requires ownership of Jurassic World Evolution 3 to play and does not appear as a standalone release or on platforms outside the core supported systems.

Wetlands expands the park-building experience by adding three new dinosaur family units and a large selection of thematic scenery. Players can introduce Irritator, a semi-aquatic spinosaurid that thrives in water-rich enclosures; Austroraptor, a versatile carnivore adapted to fish and land prey; and Hypsilophodon, a fast, herbivorous species suited to warm, swampy environments. In addition to the animals, the pack includes hundreds of wetland and bayou-inspired scenery pieces and thirteen pre-built blueprints such as boathouses, wooden pontoons and rustic shacks. These allow players to create lush waterside environments that enhance visitor immersion and challenge creative park design.

Promotion for Wetlands centred on its official announcement and store listings highlighting the unique theme and new content. The messaging focused on the biome-inspired design, new species and expanded scenery options, as well as how the DLC enhances the game’s park management simulation by introducing fresh aesthetic and gameplay variety. The release coincided with a free major game update that added additional landscaping tools and quality-of-life improvements, helping frame Wetlands as part of broader post-launch support rather than an isolated add-on.

Reception to date has been generally positive among early players, reflected by an overall positive rating emerging from the first group of user reviews. In community forums, players have expressed enthusiasm for the wetland theme and the inclusion of both aquatic-adapted and smaller herbivorous dinosaurs, noting that the scenery and thematic blueprints offer creative new ways to build immersive parks. Some discussion has focused on preferences for which species were included versus expectations from previous entries in the series, but many players appreciate the fresh visual options and the way the pack integrates with existing park mechanics.
