The Planet Coaster 2 – Sorcery Pack was developed and published by Frontier Developments, with the DLC released on 16 September 2025. It is available for the same platforms as the base game (PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S) and requires ownership of Planet Coaster 2 in order to use its content.

The Sorcery Pack transforms parks with a magical-fantasy theme, offering five new attractions alongside a rich collection of themed scenery and immersive assets. Among the attractions are new coasters and flat rides such as a launch coaster and a flying theatre-style ride. The pack also brings a full “Sorcery” aesthetic: gothic‑style buildings, castle spires, mystical props, themed lighting, animatronics, special ambience and sound‑design, and a new entertainer character — all aimed at letting players build haunted castles, mystical towns, or enchanted theme‑parks steeped in magic.

In publicity for the pack, Frontier Developments issued trailer content and official announcements as part of their “Update 7 and Sorcery Pack” reveal. They emphasised the magical makeover the DLC could give to parks — highlighting the new rides, scenery set, sound‑effects, animatronics, and themed building pieces. The marketing framed the Sorcery Pack as a vivid way to expand creative possibilities, allowing players to build fantasy‑style parks beyond the standard modern or classic amusement‑park tropes.

Reception following release has been broadly positive among fans of creative park‑building and fantasy aesthetics. Many players praised the quality and variety of scenery, appreciating how the new themed props, structures and atmosphere enable more imaginative and atmospheric parks. Some comments suggest the new rides add welcome variety to the game’s ride roster. At the same time, as with other content packs, a portion of the community remains cautious: a few feel the pack does not substantially alter core park‑management or ride‑system mechanics, so its appeal is strongest for players prioritising creativity and visual design over deeper gameplay changes.
