The Planet Coaster 2: Thrill-Seekers Ride Pack DLC was developed and published by Frontier Developments. This pack requires ownership of the base game to access the additional content.

The DLC adds a selection of high‑adrenaline attractions to your parks: two new rollercoasters and three spinning flat rides. The rollercoasters include the “Vector – LIM Launch Family Coaster,” designed to deliver a dynamic ride suitable for a broad age range, and “Big M’S Rides – Ultra Spin,” a spinning coaster that continuously rotates cars for a dizzying thrill. The flat rides are “540,” which gives guests a surfboard‑style ride with a 540° wave motion; “Strike,” a spinning ride where both the core and gondolas rotate for chaotic motion; and “Whirlpool,” a reimagining of a classic spinning ride, looping riders through spins to create a wild vortex effect.

When promoting the pack, Frontier Developments emphasised the new rides as a major boost to the excitement factor of Planet Coaster 2 parks. Marketing called it a “Thrill‑Seekers Ride Pack” aimed at players who want to spin, whirl, and wow their guests. The release was paired with the first major update for the game, positioning the pack as part of the plan to expand ride variety and park‑building tools early in the game's lifecycle. A launch trailer showcased the new coaster and flat rides in action, highlighting their potential for high‑impact thrill rides in custom parks.

Reception from the community has been mixed. Many fans appreciate the quality of the new rides, especially the spinning coaster and novel flat rides, for the creative possibilities they bring to park design. However, some players feel the pack offers limited content, with only five rides considered modest compared to expectations from DLC. Others note that while the rides are enjoyable, existing issues with the base game, such as management, user interface, and guest behavior, still affect the overall park experience.
