Get Together was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, released in 2015. It is a major game pack that expands social gameplay by introducing clubs, a new European-inspired world, and a suite of activities and venue-focused interactions that encourage group play and community storytelling.

The pack adds a flexible Clubs system that lets players create groups with custom rules, member lists and exclusive hangouts, new social activities such as foosball, darts and midnight bonfires, the DJ booth and dancing skill, and a variety of build/buy items and clothing to outfit communal spaces. It also introduces the new world of Windenburg with scenic neighborhoods, hedge mazes, plazas and nightlife venues designed to support group gatherings and emergent social play.

Promotion for Get Together used Electronic Arts’ and Maxis’ standard channels, including trailers, developer blogs, social media reveals and store listings that highlighted the Clubs system, the DJ and dancing features, and the new world of Windenburg. Community creators, livestreams and build-and-play showcases were widely used to demonstrate club mechanics, themed hangouts and creative group-driven scenarios to prospective players.

Reception was generally positive, with praise aimed at the Clubs system for offering novel, player-directed social mechanics and Windenburg’s atmospheric locations, while criticism focused on occasional bugs, limitations in club AI and some repetitive social interactions. Overall Get Together is regarded as a meaningful addition to The Sims 4 for players who enjoy group-oriented roleplay, nightlife and venue-driven storytelling.
