Tower! Simulator 3: KIAD Airport

The KIAD Airport DLC for Tower! Simulator 3 was developed and published by FeelThere, and it was released on 4 July 2025. As with other DLC for the game, it was made available through the usual distribution channels for the PC version.

This expansion recreates Washington Dulles International Airport (ICAO: KIAD / IAD), the major international hub serving the Washington, D.C. area. In the simulation, players manage a large and busy airport complex: the main terminal plus two midfield concourses, with a total of 139 gates (jetway and hard‑stand), extensive taxiways, and a layout designed to reflect the real airport’s structure. The DLC aims to capture the operational complexity of Dulles, including arrivals and departures, gate assignments, ground movements, and the handling of both domestic and international flights across a high-capacity, large‑scale airport.

In promoting the KIAD DLC, FeelThere emphasized the airport’s global significance — presenting it as a busy, international hub with dozens of daily flights to many destinations around the world. The marketing framed it as a substantial addition to the simulator’s catalogue, intended especially for players who enjoy high‑traffic airport management and realistic air traffic control scenarios. The scope of the terminal complex, the number of gates, and the challenge of coordinating heavy traffic were highlighted as key selling points.

At launch, the KIAD DLC had no user reviews yet, meaning community feedback was absent and there was no consensus about its quality or enjoyment. Because of this, overall reception remained undetermined in the early days after release. Nonetheless, for players drawn to large, busy airports and realistic ATC simulation, KIAD represents one of the more ambitious airport expansions available for Tower! Simulator 3.
