Eureka Valley was developed by 3DZUG and released on 27 October 2025 as downloadable content for Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022. The pack was published by N3V Games and delivered as part of the studio’s ongoing post‑launch content program for the Trainz franchise, designed to expand the base game rather than act as a standalone product.

The DLC launched digitally for PC and macOS users through the existing Trainz storefront channels and integrates directly with Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022. It is distributed as an add‑on requiring the base game; there were no separate physical releases for the expansion at launch and the content is delivered through the game’s established digital distribution and update systems.

Eureka Valley adds a large new region — a windswept highland basin — and positions players to operate across deserts, mountains and valleys while servicing the monumental Eureka Telescope Array landmark. The pack includes miles of new route, four scripted scenarios, Free Drive options, dynamic weather, support for Trainz Living Railroads and PF Treez, and a roster of included trains such as Amtrak P42DC Phase V, Southern Pacific AC4400CW, Union Pacific AC4400CW, NASA SW1500 switcher and detailed Amtrak rolling stock with passenger interiors. The expansion emphasises route variety, themed scenarios and supply runs to remote facilities rather than changes to core simulation mechanics.

Promotion for Eureka Valley centred on the Trainz product page, publisher announcements and community channels such as the franchise’s forums and Discord, with the marketing emphasising the new regional map, the Eureka Telescope Array narrative hook, included locomotives and scenario content. At launch the DLC had no aggregated user reviews, so early public reception was shaped by community discussion and initial player impressions; those early responses tended to welcome the evocative setting, new route mileage and the themed rolling stock while noting that long‑term value depends on how much players engage with additional regional scenarios and content.
