Bolt Cutters Used in £3,500 E-Bike Theft at Stafford Station
Detectives are appealing for help after an e-bike worth thousands of pounds was stolen from Stafford railway station earlier this year.
The theft took place at around 6.40pm on Tuesday 10 February when a man entered the station’s cycle hub. According to investigators, the suspect removed a pair of bolt cutters from his bag before using them to cut through the lock securing the bike.
Police say the man then took the e-bike, valued at around £3,500, and boarded a train with it shortly afterwards. The suspect is believed to have left the service at Lichfield Trent Valley railway station.
Officers from British Transport Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries as the investigation continues.
