Broken Down Train Disrupts Paddington to Heathrow and Reading Services
Rail services between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport / Reading are facing disruption after a train broke down on the line, blocking some routes.
The incident has reduced the number of trains able to operate through the affected section, with services subject to cancellations and delays of up to 10 minutes.
The disruption is impacting multiple operators, including Great Western Railway, Heathrow Express and Elizabeth line.
Passengers travelling with Great Western Railway are being advised that if their service is cancelled, they can use either of the two trains before or after their booked service. This flexibility also applies to peak services, with tickets being accepted at no extra cost.
Heathrow Express have also posted the following on X:
Due to an incident outside our control, we would like to inform our passengers that Heathrow Express services are currently running at a reduced frequency. Please plan your journey accordingly and allow for extra travel time.
Travellers are urged to check before setting off, as services may not run as planned and any alternative arrangements can be withdrawn at short notice.
Disruption is expected to continue until around 16:00.
