CCTV Images Issued in Elephant and Castle Sexual Assault Probe
Police have issued images of a man they want to trace following a reported sexual assault on the London Underground network.
The incident is said to have taken place at Elephant and Castle Underground station on Friday 6 March at around 5.20pm, when a woman was assaulted inside a lift by an unknown man.
According to investigators, the suspect then followed the woman onto a Northern Line service heading towards Stockwell station, where a second sexual assault is reported to have taken place.
British Transport Police has now released images of a man they believe could assist with their enquiries. Officers are appealing for the public’s help in identifying him as their investigation continues.
Anyone who recognises the individual is urged to contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 568 of 6 March. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
