Elizabeth Line chaos: passengers assaulted, spat at and racially abused on train
Detectives are appealing for victims to come forward following a disorder incident on board an Elizabeth Line train in east London.
The incident is understood to have taken place between around 7.30pm and 8pm on Thursday 19 March, as the train travelled between Whitechapel station and Stratford station.
A group of youths were reportedly on board when a confrontation began after one girl was challenged by passengers about vaping. She is said to have reacted aggressively, escalating the situation.
During the disturbance, one person was allegedly spat at, another assaulted, and a man subjected to racial abuse.
Officers from British Transport Police have been carrying out extensive enquiries since the incident and are now urging those directly affected to make contact to assist with the investigation.
