How Darts Fans Can Get To The O2 For Premier League Finals Night
Darts fans heading to Premier League Finals Night at The O2 in London are being advised to plan their journeys carefully, particularly if they are travelling into the capital by rail and returning home late in the evening. The BetMGM Premier League Darts Finals Night takes place at The O2 on Thursday 28 May 2026, with doors listed from 6.00pm and live television coverage due to begin from 7.00pm.
The main public transport route to The O2 is via North Greenwich Underground station, which is served by the Jubilee line. The station is directly beside the arena, making it the simplest option for most fans travelling by rail or Tube. The O2 advises that North Greenwich is around 20 minutes from central London and around 10 minutes from Stratford, giving supporters several possible interchange points depending on where they are travelling from.
For fans arriving in London by National Rail, London Bridge, Waterloo, West Hampstead, Bond Street and Stratford all provide direct connections onto the Jubilee line. Supporters arriving at King’s Cross St Pancras, Euston, Liverpool Street, Paddington or Victoria will usually need to make at least one Underground or Elizabeth line connection before joining the Jubilee line towards North Greenwich.
Fans travelling from East Anglia, Essex or parts of east London may find Stratford a useful interchange, with National Rail, Elizabeth line, London Overground, DLR and Underground services all connecting into the wider transport network. From Stratford, the Jubilee line runs directly to North Greenwich, making it one of the more straightforward approaches to The O2.
Those travelling from Kent or south-east London may also be able to reach the area using National Rail and local bus connections, but for many visitors the simpler option will be to travel into London Bridge and then use the Jubilee line eastbound to North Greenwich. That avoids relying on a final bus connection and keeps the journey mostly on rail-based public transport.
There is one important London Underground warning for Thursday. The Piccadilly line is due to be closed between Acton Town and Heathrow, and between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, from Thursday 28 May to Sunday 31 May. That does not directly affect North Greenwich or the Jubilee line, but it could affect fans travelling from Heathrow, west London or the Uxbridge branch who were planning to use the Piccadilly line as part of their journey.
Fans should also pay close attention to the journey home. Finals Night is an evening event and will include semi-finals and the final itself, so some supporters may be leaving The O2 later in the evening. Anyone travelling beyond London should check the final National Rail services from their chosen London terminal before setting off, rather than only planning the outward journey.
The Jubilee line will be the key route away from North Greenwich after the event, and it is likely to be busy as thousands of fans leave the arena at the same time. Supporters should allow extra time for queues at North Greenwich, follow staff instructions and avoid relying on very tight connections across London, especially if they have a late mainline train to catch.
River services from North Greenwich Pier and the London Cable Car can provide alternatives for some visitors, but they should be treated as secondary options rather than the main plan. Anyone considering them should check operating times for the specific evening before relying on them, particularly after the darts has finished.
The safest advice for fans is to use North Greenwich on the Jubilee line as the main route, but to plan the whole journey in both directions. Getting to The O2 should be straightforward for most people, but the return leg is where problems can appear, especially for those relying on late trains out of London. Fans should check TfL and National Rail journey planners on the day, allow extra time after the event and make sure their route home still works before travelling.
