London Tube Offender Jailed After Repeated Exposure Attacks on Women
A man who repeatedly exposed himself to women on a London Underground train, despite being subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), has been jailed following an investigation by British Transport Police.
Ayman Yanoussi, 21, of St Johns Road in Newham, was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday 16 April to 14 months in prison. He had previously admitted two counts of exposure, breaching his SHPO, and possession of cannabis.
The court heard that on 28 December 2025 at around 11.20am, Yanoussi was on the platform at Upminster Bridge Underground station when a woman noticed he was sitting with his trousers around his ankles while touching himself. When she attempted to record the incident, he pulled his clothing back up and moved away before boarding a District line service.
Once onboard, Yanoussi targeted multiple women. He sat next to one passenger and exposed himself, before repeating the behaviour with others by sitting beside or opposite them as the train travelled towards Wimbledon. Several of the women left the train as it approached Elm Park.
His behaviour continued across different services for more than an hour, with further incidents reported before a passenger alerted staff at approximately 12.51pm. The train was subsequently held at Hammersmith Underground station, but Yanoussi fled the scene.
Officers were deployed and located him shortly afterwards at a nearby bus stop, where he was arrested on suspicion of exposure. During transport to custody, he repeatedly struck his head against the interior of the police van and made comments expressing regret.
Investigations revealed Yanoussi had been issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order less than two weeks earlier, following a separate case in which he received a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to three counts of upskirting in April 2024.
Detective Constable Ian Hourihan said:
"Yanoussi's actions that day were despicable. He sought sexual gratification on the railway at the expense of dozens of women and other commuters. I am pleased to see him put behind bars, and would like to commend the bravery of the women who came forward to report his actions and support our investigation so we could secure justice. We believe that other women may have been targeted by Yanoussi that day, and I want to encourage them to come forward and report their experiences so we can secure justice for them too. If you've witnessed something similar or see any sexual offending on the railway network, I urge you to report it to us by discreetly texting 61016. We take every report seriously, and officers can be dispatched to intercept trains and arrest offenders.”
