Man Dies After Medical Emergency at Tyseley Railway Station

A man has died after being found in a critical condition at a Birmingham railway station this afternoon. Emergency services were called to Tyseley station shortly before 2pm, where members of the public were already attempting to save his life.

Ambulances arrived at the scene off Roma Road, with paramedics immediately beginning treatment. Despite urgent efforts, including advanced life-support measures, the man could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the station.

A significant emergency response was sent to the incident, including an air ambulance and a critical care car. Images from the scene showed ambulance service vehicles positioned at the station as crews worked to treat the man.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed it was alerted to the incident at 1.46pm. Multiple specialist teams were dispatched as part of the response.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 1.46pm to an incident on Roma Road, Small Heath. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Hazardous Area Response Team, the critical care car and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a man in a critical condition being cared for by bystanders. Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support and advanced trauma care to him at the scene. Sadly, it became clear nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
