Man Found Dead on Railway Line in Kidsgrove, Police Say No Suspicious Circumstances

Emergency services attended a North Staffordshire railway line on Sunday morning after a man was found dead near Kidsgrove. West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that two ambulances and a paramedic officer were dispatched to the scene just before 8.15am, and train services in the area were temporarily halted.

Authorities have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious. A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:

"We were called to a medical emergency on Station Road, Kidsgrove. Two ambulances and a paramedic officer responded to the scene. Sadly, a man was confirmed deceased at the scene."

British Transport Police also issued a statement:

"Officers were called to the line near Kidsgrove railway station following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

The incident led to delays for passengers as emergency crews worked at the scene, with services returning to normal once the area was cleared.
