Manhunt after brutal Farringdon station assault leaves worker with broken jaw
Detectives are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man following a serious assault at Farringdon Underground station.
The incident took place between 9.45am and 10am on Wednesday 1 April, when a contractor was carrying out repairs to a faulty entry gate at the station.
A man approached the worker and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. As the victim got back up, he was struck again and knocked down for a second time.
The victim suffered a broken jaw in the attack and is expected to require surgery.
Officers from British Transport Police are now seeking to identify a man they believe may have information that could assist their investigation.
