Panic at Edgware Station as Man Targets Commuters on Platform

Police are appealing for victims and witnesses after reports of a man attempting to push people onto the tracks at Edgware Underground Station.

Officers were called to the station at around 7:15pm on Friday 27 March 2026 following reports of dangerous behaviour on the platform. A man was alleged to have tried to push individuals towards the tracks before officers arrived and detained him at the scene.

British Transport Police has confirmed that the suspect has been arrested, but investigators are now seeking to identify anyone who may have been directly targeted during the incident.

Detectives are also keen to hear from passengers or bystanders who witnessed what happened, as they work to build a full picture of events.
