Person Dies After Being Hit By Train At West Brompton
Trains are facing disruption between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction after a person was hit by a train at West Brompton.
While emergency services deal with the incident, services are being revised and will not call at West Brompton. Passengers using the route have been warned that journeys may be affected for the rest of the day.
The disruption is also being compounded by a shortage of train crew between Stratford, Richmond and Clapham Junction. As a result, a reduced service is running on parts of the route and some trains may be cancelled.
British Transport Police confirmed that officers were called to West Brompton Underground station shortly after midday on Wednesday, 27 May, following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, but the person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said:
"Officers were called at around 12pm today (27 May) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at West Brompton Underground station. Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious."

Passengers travelling between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, as well as those using services between Stratford, Richmond and Clapham Junction, are advised to check before travelling as disruption is expected to continue until the end of the day.
