Person Dies After Being Hit by Train near Kenton Station
A fatal incident involving a train brought widespread disruption to services on the London Euston line on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Kenton Road at Harrow station at around 1.25pm on February 7 after reports that a person had been struck by a train. Despite the attendance of officers and medical crews, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident led to the cancellation of rail services between London Euston and Watford Junction while emergency responders carried out their work and the area was secured. Passengers faced hours of disruption before trains were able to resume later in the evening.
Rail operators confirmed that all lines reopened at approximately 7.30pm once the incident had been dealt with and investigations at the location were completed.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 13:25 today (Saturday 7 February) to reports of a person struck by a train at Kenton Road Harrow. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car an incident response officer, our Hazardous Area Response Team, an advanced paramedic practitioner and London’s Air Ambulance. Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
