Person dies after being struck by SEPTA train in Bucks County
A person died on Wednesday night after being struck by a SEPTA train in Bucks County. The incident occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. on January 7 on the West Trenton Line, according to the transit agency.
Officials said the individual was near the tracks between the Langhorne and Neshaminy Falls stations when they were hit by the train. A SEPTA spokesperson confirmed that the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
No injuries were reported among passengers or crew members on board the train at the time of the incident. Shuttle buses were brought in to help passengers continue their journeys following the disruption.
Rail services on the West Trenton Line were suspended between the affected stations while emergency crews responded and the scene was made safe.
