Police hunt suspect after teen groped on Bronx subway train
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a New York City subway train in the Bronx earlier this month.
The incident happened on January 10 on a southbound No. 4 service travelling through Mott Haven. According to investigators, the 19-year-old victim was standing on the train when a man came up behind her and grabbed her buttocks as the train neared the 149th Street–Grand Concourse station.
After the alleged assault, the victim stayed on the train, while the suspect exited at the station and ran off on foot, police said. Officers have since released a brief description in the hope of identifying him.
The man was last seen wearing a black jacket along with a dark sweater and trousers. Detectives are asking anyone who may recognise him or have information about the incident to come forward.
