Police Release CCTV Images After Sexual Assault on York to Selby Train
British Transport Police have issued a public appeal after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train in North Yorkshire.
Officers are investigating an incident on a service travelling from York to Selby, which took place shortly before 8pm on Sunday 14 December. Police say a man sat next to a woman during the journey and then sexually assaulted her.
As part of the inquiry, investigators have released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify. Police believe he may be able to assist with their investigation.
Anyone who recognises the man, or who has information about the incident, is urged to contact British Transport Police. Officers can be reached by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 266 of 15 December.
