Detectives have released an image of a man in connection with a sexual assault that took place on a train traveling from Chester to Wrexham in late October.

The incident occurred around 10.20am on Wednesday 29 October. A teenage girl was seated by the window when a man sat next to her and sexually assaulted her. He also made inappropriate comments, and when the girl asked to move, he shifted his bag, suggesting she climb over him to leave. The man eventually left, and the victim reported the assault to staff at Wrexham railway station.

Police believe the man captured in the released image may hold crucial information to aid the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.

Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 223 of 29 October. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
