Police Release Images After Assault at Edinburgh Haymarket Station

Police have released images of a man they want to trace as part of an investigation into an assault at Edinburgh Haymarket Station. The incident took place at around 7.20pm on Saturday 25 October 2025.

The individual officers hope to identify is described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, of heavy build, wearing glasses and a dark jacket featuring a distinctive gold design. Investigators believe he may have information that could assist their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the man or has details that could support the investigation is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 578 of 25 October 2025. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
