Police Release Images After Assaults on London to Birmingham Train
British Transport Police (BTP) have released images of men they wish to speak to in connection with an incident on a train from London to Birmingham in September. The investigation follows a series of altercations that resulted in a member of railway staff being assaulted.
The initial incident occurred between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday 13 September, when a passenger was attacked by a group of three men and was punched and kicked to the floor. The fight was eventually broken up, but the passenger then became involved in a further fight with two other men.
As the train arrived at Birmingham International railway station, a train guard was assaulted while trying to prevent another confrontation between two passengers.
Officers believe the men captured in the images may have information that could assist with the investigation. Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 743 of 13 September. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
