Serving BTP officer charged with two counts of rape to appear in court
A British Transport Police officer is due to appear before magistrates after being charged with two counts of rape following an external investigation.
PC Christopher Jenkins, aged 32 and based in Birmingham, is scheduled to attend Worcester Magistrates’ Court on 20 January. The charges were authorised after enquiries carried out by West Mercia Police.
The alleged offences are said to relate to an incident that took place in March 2025 while the officer was off duty.
British Transport Police confirmed that PC Jenkins was suspended from duty on 2 April 2025, immediately after the force was notified of his arrest. The suspension remains in place as the case proceeds through the courts.
