All services on the Glasgow Subway were halted on Monday morning following a signal failure that brought the network to a standstill.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) confirmed that trains on both the inner and outer circles have been suspended while engineers work to fix the issue.

The Subway’s official X account issued a message to passengers, stating:

"Apologies all, both InnerandOuter Circles are currently suspended due to a signal failure. We are working to repair and will update when we can. Apologies for the inconvenience."

SPT has not yet provided an estimated time for services to resume, but further updates are expected as repair teams continue to assess the fault.
