A signalling fault between Langley and Slough is caused disruption to rail services earlier, with fewer trains able to operate and those that do running at reduced speeds. Passengers travelling to, from or through the affected stations are being warned to expect delays of up to 25 minutes as service recovery continues.

Network Rail engineers have now rectified the issue. Disruption is currently expected to continue until around 3pm, although this could be subject to change.

Great Western Railway has confirmed that tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on Elizabeth line services between London Paddington and Reading in both directions.

Passengers are being advised that service alterations and ticket acceptance may change at short notice and are urged to check with their train operator before travelling.
