Three Teenagers in Court After Fatal Stabbing Outside Seaford Station
Three teenage boys have appeared before a judge in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old outside a railway station in East Sussex. The case relates to the death of Joshua Ingram, who was attacked near Seaford station earlier this year.
Joshua, from Newhaven, died after suffering stab wounds to his back and side during the incident on September 10. Emergency services were called to the scene, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
At a hearing at Lewes Crown Court, a 16-year-old boy charged with murder appeared alongside two other defendants, aged 14 and 16. The two younger defendants denied a charge of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent. None of the boys can be identified due to their age.
An inquest into Joshua’s death has previously been opened and adjourned. The court heard that he died as a result of a haemorrhage caused by a stab wound to the heart.
The case is expected to proceed to a full trial in the new year.
