TransPennine Express Unveils Festive First Class Menu with Seasonal Treats
TransPennine Express (TPE) is adding a festive touch to its First Class journeys this winter with a new seasonal menu, available from Monday 1 December to Sunday 4 January. The offering, part of the TransPennine Kitchen – West Coast and Coast to Coast menus, features locally sourced ingredients and vegan-friendly options for travellers seeking a touch of holiday indulgence.
Passengers can enjoy two new festive highlights across both menus: turkey meatballs and a nutless roast, designed to kick off journeys in a merry fashion. For those travelling on West Coast services between Manchester and Liverpool to Glasgow and Edinburgh, the menu also includes a pair of festive mini pies crafted by Pie Demand at Carlisle station, alongside a West Coast cheeseboard showcasing Blue Murder, smoked Lammermuir, and Wensleydale with cranberries.
Coast to Coast services, connecting Liverpool and Newcastle, feature The Original Baker’s festive roll and a themed cheeseboard with Harrogate Blue, Northumberland oak smoked, and Yorkshire Wensleydale with cranberries. To add an extra seasonal touch, First Class travellers will also receive complimentary mince pies from The Original Baker and mini candy canes throughout the festive period.
Andrew McClements, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TPE, said:
“Our festive menus are all about bringing a little joy to the journey. We’ve worked closely with local suppliers to create dishes that feel comforting, seasonal and full of flavour. Whether customers are travelling for work, Christmas shopping or to see loved ones, we’re pleased to offer them something special to enjoy along the way.”
