Woman Stalked Across Two Nights on Trains to Stourbridge Junction
Detectives are seeking witnesses after a woman was subjected to repeated stalking and harassment across two consecutive evenings on trains serving Stourbridge Junction railway station.
The first incident took place at around 8.15pm on Monday 23 February, when a man began following the woman through multiple carriages on a train heading towards the station. Despite being asked to stop, the man continued to pursue her, following her off the train and out of the station until a member of the public stepped in.
Less than 24 hours later, at approximately 8.30pm, the same woman encountered the same individual again on another service travelling to Stourbridge Junction. The pattern repeated, with the man allegedly following her through the train before continuing after her once she had disembarked.
The incidents were reported to British Transport Police, prompting targeted patrols on the affected services. Officers subsequently arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of stalking.
Investigators believe other passengers may have witnessed or overheard exchanges between the pair during the journeys and are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone who saw the incidents, intervened, or heard what took place is asked to contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 632 of 24 February. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
