ZDSimulator: Lviv-Stryi Route

The Lviv–Stryi Route DLC was developed and published by the ZDSimulator Team. It was released on 17 April 2025. The route is offered for the Windows version of the base game ZDSimulator, and there are no console or alternative platform ports indicated. As with other DLC for ZDSimulator, the base game is required for it to function.

This DLC recreates the real‑world railway line between Lviv and Stryi, located in western Ukraine. The route begins at Lviv’s central station — a significant hub with extensive infrastructure, depot facilities, and classification yards — then heads south through outskirts, countryside, hills, fields, forests, villages, rural scenery and occasional watercourses. Along the way there are several intermediate stations with realistic infrastructure: passenger platforms, switches, signaling, and depots. The line ends at Stryi station, itself a key junction with a freight yard, suburban platforms and depot facilities. The route supports both passenger and freight operations, taking advantage of ZDSimulator’s electric rolling stock suitable for the corridor’s electrification. It’s well‑suited both for long-distance passenger services and freight traffic, giving players a varied and immersive rail simulation experience through western Ukrainian scenery.

Promotion of the DLC was handled primarily via the official store listing on Steam. The store page describes the route, outlines its scenic environment, infrastructure, supported traffic types (passenger and freight), and integration with the existing simulator systems (scenario mode, free ride, level editor). There is no evidence of a large external marketing push beyond standard Steam visibility and catalogue listing. The release came as part of a broader wave of DLC for ZDSimulator when the project launched on Steam, marking the route among the early official add-ons.

Some caution that, as with many ZDSimulator DLCs, the full enjoyment depends on having compatible locomotives and correct electrification for services.
