The Piatykhatky–Dnipro Route DLC was developed and published by the ZDSimulator Team, and it was released on 17 April 2025. It is available for the Windows version of ZDSimulator and requires the base game to play. There are no console or other-platform ports listed for this route DLC — it remains PC‑only.

This DLC recreates a real railway line in central Ukraine, connecting the town of Piatykhatky (at its Piatykhatky‑Passenger station) with the major rail hub of Dnipro (Dnipro‑Main). The line spans approximately 120 km, is fully electrified under 3 kV DC, and is double‑tracked throughout its length. The route passes through industrial and residential zones, stopping at stations and towns such as Zhovti Vody‑1, Vilnohirsk, Krynychky, Pravda, Balivka, and Sukhachivka before arriving in Dnipro. Scenery includes steppe landscapes, small settlements, industrial areas and open rural surroundings, offering a blend of freight‑oriented and passenger‑style rail operations. The route supports both freight traffic (for ore, metal products and industrial goods) and passenger services, giving players a flexible simulation experience.

Promotion for this DLC was mainly via the official store listing: the route’s key features — its length, electrification, track configuration, stations, and its function as a link between Piatykhatky and a major transport hub — are described plainly. As with other recent ZDSimulator DLC releases, there was no evidence of a large external marketing campaign. The developers appeared to rely on visibility through the platform’s catalogue, Steam’s features and the existing community of rail‑sim enthusiasts to spread awareness.

Reception is still limited, since the route currently has “no user reviews” on the store page. In community forums and discussion threads surrounding ZDSimulator, interest seems cautiously positive. Some players appreciate that this route adds useful variety to the simulator — a mid‑size line connecting industrial zones with a major city, giving opportunities for both freight and passenger runs. Others note that enjoyment depends heavily on compatible rolling stock and scenario support: without matching electric locomotives or thoughtful timetable/mission content, the route can feel underused. Overall, the Piatykhatky–Dnipro Route seems likely to appeal most to dedicated simulation fans who value realistic regional rail, especially in post‑Soviet rail settings.
