Appeal After Person Injured in Alleged Dog Attack at Cambridge Station
Police are continuing to investigate an incident at Cambridge railway station after a person was reportedly bitten by a dog.
British Transport Police were called to the station on Friday, January 23, following reports of the incident. Officers attended the scene but found that the dog and its owner had already left the area by the time they arrived.
The dog involved was described as having the appearance of a Bull Terrier. Police confirmed that the person who was bitten suffered a minor injury.
BTP has said inquiries remain ongoing and is appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward to assist with the investigation.
A BTP spokesperson said:
"Officers were called to Cambridge railway station today (23 January) following reports a dog had bitten someone in the station. Officers attended, however the owner and dog had left. The victim sustained a minor injury. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, quoting reference 179 of 23 January."
