Appeal Launched Following Sexual Assault on Brighton to Eastbourne Service
British Transport Police have issued an appeal for information as part of an investigation into the sexual assault of a teenage passenger on a train in Sussex.
The incident is reported to have taken place at around 4.40pm on Wednesday 8 October, while the 17-year-old victim was travelling on a service between Brighton and Hampden Park in Eastbourne.
Officers said the teenager was approached by a man who sat beside him during the journey before carrying out the assault. The suspect then left the area.
Investigators have now released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.
