Caledonian Sleeper’s new service to Birmingham International is now only a few days away, with operations scheduled to begin on 15 January 2026. The overnight sleeper will provide passengers in the West Midlands with a convenient option to travel between Birmingham and Scottish destinations. Tickets for the new stop went on sale in October 2025, and interest has grown steadily as the launch date approaches.

The updated timetable will see the Caledonian Sleeper call at Birmingham International on both northbound and southbound journeys. Passengers will be able to board in the late evening and arrive at their destinations in Scotland the following morning, offering an alternative to daytime services. The change aims to provide greater flexibility for leisure and business travellers, making overnight travel a practical option for those heading to or from the West Midlands.

While sleeper trains have previously served the area, the addition of Birmingham International enhances the network by providing another major regional hub for passengers. Rail industry sources note that the update reflects ongoing efforts to expand long-distance overnight travel options and meet growing passenger demand for convenient services.

With the 15 January launch now just days away, the new service is set to broaden overnight travel options between central England and Scotland. Operators highlight that the timetable update forms part of wider improvements across the Caledonian Sleeper network, aiming to make overnight rail travel a more attractive and practical choice for passengers across the region.
