British Transport Police Release CCTV After Transphobic Abuse on Train
British Transport Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a hate crime on board a train between Exeter and Crediton.
The incident took place shortly after the train departed Exeter St David’s station at around 4.15pm on 4 November. Officers say the man accused a group of passengers of being too loud before directing abusive and transphobic comments toward one member of the group.
Police are asking anyone who recognises the man or has information that could assist their investigation to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 498 of 4 November. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
