CCTV appeal after knife threat robbery outside Edgware Underground station
Detectives have released a CCTV image as part of an investigation into a robbery outside Edgware Underground station, appealing for the public’s help to identify a man they believe could assist with enquiries.
The incident took place at around midnight on Saturday 11 April. Officers say the victim was approached inside the station’s booking hall by a stranger, who then pressured him to move outside the premises.
Once outside, the suspect reportedly claimed he was carrying a knife before searching the victim. During the encounter, racist language was also used before £50 in cash was taken.
The appeal has been issued by the British Transport Police, with detectives stating the individual shown in the image may have information that could help progress the investigation.
Anyone who recognises the man is urged to get in touch by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 131 of 11 April.
