CCTV Appeal After Man Sexually Assaulted on Staines to Clapham Junction Service

British Transport Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to as part of an investigation into a sexual assault that allegedly took place on a train heading towards London.

The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday 31 December 2025. According to investigators, a man was travelling on the Staines to Clapham Junction service at around 7.45pm when the assault took place.

Police say the victim was walking along the aisle of the carriage when he was sexually assaulted by a man who was seated on the train at the time.

Detectives have now issued a photograph of an individual they believe could hold information relevant to their enquiries. Officers have stressed that they would like to identify and speak with the man pictured as their investigation continues.
