Detectives are appealing for help to identify a man following a violent assault at Oval Underground station, after releasing images linked to the investigation.

The incident took place shortly before 6.30am on Tuesday 13 January 2026 on a southbound Northern Line service travelling from Kennington to Oval. Police say a man who was seated on the train was subjected to a sudden and unprovoked attack by another passenger.
