Detectives have released an image of a man they want to trace following an incident of outraging public decency on board a Thameslink train bound for Luton.

The incident took place at around 7.30pm on Friday 27 February, when a woman boarded a service at St Pancras International heading towards Bedford. Shortly after she took her seat, a man sat down beside her.

Police say the man then behaved inappropriately, touching himself beneath his clothing while seated next to the woman. He later left the train when it arrived at Luton railway station.

Officers investigating the incident believe the individual shown in the image could have information that may assist their enquiries and are keen to identify and speak with him.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 704 of 27 February. Information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
