Detectives Seek Key Witness After Death at Preston Railway Station
Detectives are appealing for a key witness to come forward after a person was found dead at Preston railway station in the early hours of this morning. Officers were called shortly after 1am on 29 November when a member of the public alerted station staff to a casualty on the premises. Paramedics also attended, but the individual was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Investigators are now urgently seeking to identify and speak with the man who first reported the incident. He is believed to have boarded a train bound for Blackpool North, which departed Preston at 12.58am. Detectives say his account could be crucial in helping them understand what happened.
Anyone who is the man in question, or who otherwise has information that could assist the investigation, is urged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 41 of 29 November.
