Do You Recognise This Man? CCTV Appeal After Croydon Tram Sexual Assault

Detectives have issued an appeal after releasing CCTV images as part of an investigation into a reported sexual assault on a London tram service.

The incident is said to have taken place at around 3.40pm on Wednesday 22 October 2025, while a tram was travelling from West Croydon towards the Blackhorse Lane tram stop. Police say a woman was sexually assaulted by a man who was seated next to her during the journey.

Investigators believe the man shown in the CCTV images may be able to provide information that could assist with establishing the full circumstances of what happened and are keen to identify him.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 476 of 22 October. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
