Lines Closed Between Surbiton and Wimbledon Amid Emergency Incident

All lines between Surbiton and Wimbledon have been closed while emergency services respond to an incident on the railway.

As a result, trains running between Surbiton, Kingston, Motspur Park and Wimbledon may face delays of up to 60 minutes, as well as cancellations or revisions. Response teams are on their way to the scene and, to allow safe access for emergency crews, power to the track in the affected area will be switched off.

Disruption is expected to continue until at least 18:00.

South Western Railway has arranged a wide range of ticket acceptance across numerous services and operators in an effort to minimise disruption and keep passengers moving. However, any alternative arrangements may be withdrawn at short notice.

Passengers are strongly advised to check with their chosen operator before travelling.
