Person Struck by Train Between Blackfriars and St Pancras
Rail services through central London were brought to a halt late last night after a person was struck by a train between London Blackfriars and St Pancras International.
Emergency crews were called to reports of a casualty on the track at around 11.50pm on 27 February. As responders worked at the scene, all Thameslink lines between the two major stations were blocked.
The disruption affected services running through one of the capital’s key north-south corridors, with trains unable to pass between Blackfriars and St Pancras while the incident was dealt with.
At the time of reporting, the condition of the person involved had not been confirmed.
Thameslink said on X:
“It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International. All lines are blocked between these stations whilst the emergency services work to deal with this incident.”
